Gandhi was founded in 1944 and has been collecting and selling various types of luxurious and premium fabrics with outstanding quality and feeling of luxury. We have been in this business for almost 80 years, which speaks of our enormous experience and expertise in fabrics.
We have three branches: Gandhi 1944, Gandhi Tessuti (also providing bespoke tailoring for men), and the Cynosure Bangkok, located on Phahurat Road, the fabric center in Bangkok.
The Fabric Library
Our premium fabrics are organized by type and category, and so our store reflects a huge fabric library where everybody can come, see, and buy fabrics as they please.
Besides, there is also a corner for information about fabrics: yarns, production processes, design methods, inspiration, and fabric care, which makes us standout compared to other fabric stores. Furthermore, we also tell the stories behind our fabrics. And so you can see that every fabric in our store has its own uniqueness and is made with purpose and detailing.

Chantilly Lace – The Epitome of Luxury Lace
Chantilly lace made on “Leavers” machine has a history of over 100 years! These limited number of highly specialized machines, used exclusively to produce the delicate chantilly lace, require complicated usage and a lot of expertise in order to effectively control the high production quality.
The Beauty That Has Been Passed On From Generation to Generation
During our journey in France, we had the opportunity to talk and exchange knowledge with our suppliers, who also led us to his old library in the house to see books that contained notes about patterns designed since 1925. He also explained that they usually have to spend many weeks developing one unique pattern.
Due to the fabrics’ histories and our dedication to selecting these unique fabrics, we are known in the fashion industry both within the country and around the region!
